About

Committed to service excellence

Built on Quality

We are known for delivering quality that exceeds our customers’ expectations. We take pride in our work, care about our people and stand by our advice.
As part of our commitment to quality, we do not employ cash paid daily labourers, nor do we subcontract to companies that do. Instead, we have extensive contacts and rely on a wide network of subcontractors.

In addition, our fulltime Caruana employees do the bulk of our renovation work and oversee projects from start to finish, attending to every last detail.

SET on Safety

Our employees and clients are our greatest asset, and their safety our top priority. As such, we endeavour to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. This is reflected in our participation in

  • the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program, a health and safety initiative offered through the Alberta Construction Safety Association
  • the Personal Injury Reduction (PIR) program offered through the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) of Alberta

Committed to cleanliness

Oh, the dents, dings and dust!

At Caruana, we understand that renovations can be frustrating. We know that clients worry about the state of their premises through the process. We therefore treat every space as though it were our own. Our contractors strive to protect your home and your belongings. Because we care about clean worksites, we not only use dust barriers, but we also take great care to protect all floors.

At Caruana, all employees are required to complete first aid training within 90 days of hire. In addition, our site foreman oversees projects to identify and mitigate safety issues before they reach a critical stage.

We are

  • licensed in every city in which we do work
  • bonded to protect any deposits or downpayments
  • fully insured from liability

All our workers are covered by the Workers’ Compensation Board of Alberta (WCB).

Neville and his crew did an amazing job on my rental unit upgrade! The work was completed on budget and on time. They even use a financing company that holds the funds until you review and approve the completed work! I Highly Recommend Caruana Interiors!

We had our old deck and hot tub ripped out and a new deck installed prior to our new hot tub arriving. We were very happy with the prompt and wonderful service Caruana and all of their staff members provided. The trades people and workers were professional and worked tirelessly to get the project done. The project cost a few thousand more than expected due to needing grading added before the deck install and electrician charges, but made sense once we went over the final invoice. We will definitely be using Caruana again when we do other renos in the future!

I hired Caruana Interiors to refit my basement after a mould and asbestos abatement shortly after I read the detailed and easy-to-understand estimate and requested a few clarifications and changes.

I found all the Caruana staff to be professional and courteous. They were patient when answering my questions and helpful when I needed to make a decision. While there were delays and setbacks during the course of the project, I felt everyone at Caruana really was doing the best he/she could under the circumstances. Almost a year later, I am totally satisfied with the end product and will call Caruana for an estimate if the need should arise.

We called Caruana because we had a clean water flood in our basement bedroom. Staff was at our home when they said they would be. Once assessing the job a crew was dispatched immediately. All staff were awesome, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. They kept me informed at all times. The job was completed in record time and at no inconvenience to us (we went away on a planned holiday and the restoration work was done when we arrived home). Everything was perfect and looked like nothing had ever happened.

We contracted Caruana to convert our completely unfinished basement into a much needed extra living space by adding 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchenette and a large family room with small workout station. Neville was very helpful in providing advice that would keep us within our budget, and he was readily available throughout the project to answer our questions, always responding immediately and having his staff keep us informed of their schedules.

We really appreciated the care and attention that Caruana staff displayed throughout the project – a high precision and quality of workmanship, cleanliness, friendliness and constant communication. We’re extremely happy with the finished product. It’s a beauty.

Who We Are

Neville

Neville has been self-employed since he was 19 years old, and he got into the renovation business after close to 10 years of owning and operating specialty coffee restaurants. It was during the many hours planning, building and renovating these restaurants that he realized he enjoyed that part most. In 2007, he moved across the country to start fresh in Edmonton and begin renovating full-time. As the owner of Caruana Interiors and Contracting, he also fills the primary sales and estimating roles. Through constant networking and relationship building, his goal is to make Caruana Interiors and Contracting the premier renovator for all homeowners in the Edmonton region.

Jessica

Jessica has been with us for over four years, only taking some time off to become a mom. She is the friendly voice whenever you call into the office to book an in-home estimate, and she is always willing to help out. She is instrumental in keeping the office running smoothly and keeping us all in line. When she is not hard at work, she loves spending time with her family, which includes her two children, and pets.

Barb

With over 15 years in the building products industry, Barb brings extensive knowledge and insight to our team. In her business development role, she connects with potential partners to find ways for us to help. She also plays a big part in our safety program. A certified auditor, she performs regular site inspections to ensure we are keeping safety at the forefront at every project. She also assists in many other areas whenever we need help.

Graham

As one of our very first employees, Graham has been with us for over six years. During this time, he has spent a lot of time on tools, grown to be our project manager, and is now working into sales and estimating. Once a project starts, Graham organizes the materials, sub-contractors and our other employees to get the job done. Happy customers and high-quality work are his top priorities. In his free time, Graham plays drums and has travelled the world, touring as a professional musician.

Calvin

Calvin has been with us for three years, and in that time has proven himself to be focussed on customer service, and having a keen eye for detail. He has typically been our “finisher” on projects, taking care of all those little details. Recently taking on the “Site Supervisor” role, he helps Graham manage the day to day operations at each of our projects, and making sure materials and people are on site when needed.
